Marsden Medical Group: Salaried GP

Are you a GP looking for more than just a job, you're in the right place!

We know General Practice can feel challenging right now, but we believe it doesn’t have to be. At Marsden Medical Group, we focus on two simple things: spreading the workload across a great team and working smarter to protect our doctors.

Here’s how we do it:

Specialist staff handle straightforward hospital letters and lab results so that you can focus on the clinical work that matters.

  • We prioritise your time and wellbeing—because getting home for tea isn’t a luxury.

Why us?

We could tell you about:

  • Our fabulous coastal location in South Shields, Tyne and Wear, just a short hop from Newcastle.

  • Our size, large enough that there's always support, but small enough to care

  • Our strong practice stats and performance metrics (yes, they’re great!).

  • Opportunities for teaching, training, and career development.

  • Our supportive environment, appraisal, and revalidation assistance.

  • Excellent cake and our famous Friday quiz, complete with a personalised MMG trophy!

But really, we spend a huge part of our lives at work, so we believe it should be somewhere you genuinely enjoy being. We’re a close-knit, supportive team, and frankly, there’s no family quite like us!

What We’re Offering

We’re looking for a salaried GP to join our growing team. Here’s what you can expect:

  • Your choice of up to 8 clinical sessions per week.

  • 6 weeks annual leave.

  • 1 week self-managed study leave plus protected CPD time.

  • A flexible career that supports both your professional and personal goals, with a strong emphasis on work-life balance.
